4. Purpose of this Notice
This Notice explains:
- what cookies and similar technologies are;
- which cookies and similar technologies Reflecta uses;
- why Reflecta uses them;
- what Reflecta does not use them for;
- how you can manage them;
- what may happen if you disable them.
This Notice is intended to be a practical explanation of Reflecta’s current technical use of cookies and similar technologies. It does not replace the Reflecta Privacy Notice, which explains how Reflecta collects, uses, stores, transfers and otherwise processes Personal Data more generally.
5. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your browser or device when you visit a website or use an online service. They allow a website or service to recognise your browser, maintain your session, keep you logged in or remember limited technical information.
Similar technologies may include:
- local storage;
- session storage;
- secure app storage;
- authentication tokens;
- device-based storage used by websites or apps;
- software development kits, where applicable;
- secure storage mechanisms provided by the iOS environment.
In this Notice, we use the term “cookies and similar technologies” to refer to all such technologies.
6. Reflecta’s Current Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies
At launch, Reflecta uses only the following limited technologies.
| Technology | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| HTTP-only session cookie | Used to keep you logged in, maintain secure Account access and support authentication | Strictly necessary | Until session expiry, logout or deletion by browser/device settings |
| Local storage / interface state, where implemented | Used only to remember limited interface settings, such as whether a sidebar, panel or similar interface element is open or closed | Functional, non-tracking | Stored locally on your device until cleared, overwritten or removed by browser/device settings |
| Secure app/session storage, where implemented in the iOS application | Used to maintain secure app login status and Account access | Strictly necessary | Until logout, session expiry, Account deletion or app/device storage removal |
Reflecta does not use these technologies for advertising, behavioural profiling, cross-site tracking, third-party marketing or AI model training.
7. Strictly Necessary Technologies
Strictly necessary technologies are required for the Services to operate properly.
Reflecta uses strictly necessary technologies to:
- authenticate users;
- keep users logged in;
- maintain secure Account sessions;
- protect Accounts from unauthorised access;
- route requests securely;
- support Account-based access to Workspaces;
- ensure that users can access only their own Account or Workspace content;
- support security and abuse-prevention controls;
- maintain basic service functionality.
Without these technologies, you may not be able to log in, remain logged in, access your Workspace, manage your Assets or Outputs, use Paid Services, or use other Account-based features of the Services.
Strictly necessary technologies are not used for advertising, behavioural profiling, cross-site tracking or third-party marketing.
8. Local Storage and Interface State
Reflecta may use local storage or similar device-based storage for limited interface functionality.
For example, local storage may be used to remember whether a sidebar, panel or similar interface element was open or closed.
This type of storage is used only to improve basic interface continuity. It is not used to:
- track you across websites;
- build a behavioural profile;
- measure advertising;
- serve targeted ads;
- collect marketing data;
- monitor your browsing activity outside Reflecta;
- train AI models;
- identify you as a person;
- perform facial recognition or biometric identification.
Where possible, interface-state information is stored locally on your device and is not used for user profiling.
9. Secure App / Session Storage
Where implemented in the iOS application, Reflecta may use secure app/session storage or similar app-level storage to maintain secure login status and Account access.
This may be used to:
- keep you logged in;
- maintain secure access to your Account;
- support authentication;
- preserve session continuity;
- help prevent unauthorised access.
Secure app/session storage is not used for advertising, behavioural tracking, marketing, cross-site tracking or third-party profiling.
10. What Reflecta Does Not Use at Launch
At launch, Reflecta does not use:

11. AI Features and Cookies
Reflecta provides AI-powered creative generation features. However, Reflecta does not use cookies to perform AI generation, process images, analyse faces, train models or generate Outputs.
AI generation may involve processing uploaded Assets, prompts and generation parameters through Reflecta’s systems and third-party AI Infrastructure Providers, as described in the Reflecta Privacy Notice.
Cookies and similar technologies are used only for Account access, authentication, security, session continuity and limited interface functionality.
The fact that Reflecta provides AI Features does not mean that AI generation itself is performed by cookies or similar technologies.
12. Payment and Checkout Technologies
Reflecta may offer Paid Services, including Subscriptions, Credits, premium features, high-resolution exports, credit packs, enhanced generation features, business plans or other paid digital functionality.
Payments made through the iOS application are processed through Apple IAP. Apple may process information and use its own technologies in accordance with its own terms and privacy policy.
Payments made through the Reflecta website may be processed through Stripe or another payment processor. If you are redirected to, or interact with, Stripe-hosted checkout, billing portal or payment pages, Stripe may use its own cookies and similar technologies in accordance with its own terms and privacy policy.
Reflecta does not store full payment card numbers.
Third-party payment technologies used by Apple, Stripe or another payment provider are not controlled by Reflecta. You should review the relevant Apple, Stripe or payment-provider policies for more information about their use of cookies and similar technologies.
13. Cookies, Privacy and Personal Data
Some cookies and similar technologies may involve Personal Data, such as Account identifiers, session identifiers, authentication status or technical information.
Reflecta processes such data as described in the Reflecta Privacy Notice.
Reflecta does not sell Personal Data and does not share Personal Data for third-party advertising or marketing at launch.
Reflecta does not use cookies or similar technologies for cross-context behavioural advertising, targeted advertising or third-party advertising at launch.
14. Managing Cookies and Similar Technologies
You can usually manage cookies through your browser settings.
Depending on your browser or device, you may be able to:
- delete existing cookies;
- block cookies;
- clear local storage;
- clear session storage;
- disable cookies for specific websites;
- receive warnings before cookies are placed;
- remove app data from your device;
- manage app permissions through your device settings.
If you block or delete strictly necessary cookies or authentication storage, parts of the Services may not function properly. In particular, you may be unable to log in, remain logged in, access your Workspace, manage your Assets or Outputs, use Paid Services or use Account-based features.
Clearing local storage may reset interface preferences, such as sidebar or panel state.
Deleting cookies, clearing local storage or removing app data does not delete your Reflecta Account. To delete your Account, you must use the Account deletion function in the Services or contact privacy@tryreflecta.app, as described in the Reflecta Privacy Notice.
Deleting cookies, clearing local storage, removing app data or deleting the application from your device also does not cancel a Subscription processed by Apple, Stripe or another payment provider. You must cancel any active Subscription through the applicable subscription management process.
15. Consent for Non-Essential Cookies
At launch, Reflecta does not use non-essential cookies for advertising, behavioural tracking, marketing or analytics.
If Reflecta introduces non-essential cookies or similar technologies in the future, we will update this Notice and, where required by applicable law, request your consent before using them.
Where consent is required, you will be able to withdraw or manage your consent as required by applicable law.
16. Do Not Track and Similar Signals
Some browsers or devices may provide “Do Not Track” or similar signals.
At launch, Reflecta does not use advertising cookies, behavioural tracking cookies or cross-site tracking technologies. Because there is no tracking-based advertising or analytics at launch, Reflecta does not respond separately to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
If Reflecta introduces tracking technologies in the future, we will reassess how to respond to applicable browser, device or legally recognised opt-out signals.
17. Relationship with the Privacy Notice
This Notice explains Reflecta’s use of cookies and similar technologies.
The Reflecta Privacy Notice explains more broadly how Reflecta collects, uses, stores, transfers, discloses and otherwise processes Personal Data, including Account data, Workspace data, uploaded Assets, generated Outputs, payment metadata, support communications, technical logs and crash reports.
Where cookies or similar technologies involve Personal Data, that Personal Data is processed in accordance with the Reflecta Privacy Notice.
18. Changes to this Notice
Reflecta may update this Notice from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law, provider requirements, App Marketplace requirements, payment-provider requirements, security needs or the Services.
When we update this Notice, we will revise the “Last updated” date.
If we introduce material changes, such as advertising cookies, analytics cookies, marketing pixels or behavioural tracking technologies, we will update this Notice and provide additional notice or consent mechanisms where required by applicable law.
